Risk of injury to fingers being jammed or squeezed when removing and installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate or sliding roof.

When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts.

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Carry out control module adaptations using STAR DIAGNOSIS

If installing new AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51).

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Remove cover (1) from fuse box

Unplug data bus system connector (3) from AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51)

Push locking slides of plug connection (2) all the way in and pull plug connection (2) off AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51).

Locking slides are located below the line entries.

Disengage locks (4) and pull AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51) out of fuse box.

Push locking slides of plug connection (5) all the way in and pull plug connection (5) off AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51)

Locking slides are located below the line entries.

Remove AIRmatic with ADS control module (N51)

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS
