Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Allow pressure to escape from AIRmatic system using STAR DIAGNOSIS

 Do not deflate the suspension struts.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Raise vehicle.

Remove lower engine compartment paneling

Remove left central reservoir (42a) and right central reservoir (42b) on bracket



Unscrew pressure line (1) on left central reservoir (42a) and right central reservoir (42b)

 Seal off the pressure line (1) using a blind plug for the duration of the repair work

If pressure line or its connection fittings are damaged:

Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection

Install in the reverse order

Fill AIRmatic system using STAR DIAGNOSIS

Check AIRmatic for leaks.
