1 | Disconnect battery ground line | ||
2 | Remove bolts (21) and route trailer socket 13-pin (X58) at side from bracket on trailer hitch cross member | Installation: Check rubber grommet (19) and cap (20) are correctly seated. | |
3 | Remove dust cap (14) | ||
4 | Release catches and open bracket (15) | Installation: Check rubber sealing ring is correctly seated on bracket (15). | |
5 | Remove connector housing (16) from bracket (15) | ||
6 | Disconnect contact carrier (17) and connector housing (16) using suitable tool | ||
7 | Remove contact pins (18) from contact carrier (17) | Installation: Check for correct pin assignment of trailer socket, 13-pin (X58). | |
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
