| Remove/install | ||
1 | Extend ball neck. | ||
2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
3 | Release and disconnect electrical plug (3) and expose electric line. | ||
4 | Remove rear bumper. | ||
5 | Remove trim for spare wheel well. | Model 177.0/1, 247.0/7 | |
6 | Remove and expose ground line (4). | Trailer hitch ground point | |
7 | Remove grommet (2) and route trailer socket wiring harness and swivel electrics (1) outwards. | ||
8 | Release and disconnect electrical plug (5). | ||
9 | Unscrew bolts and remove trailer socket (X58, X58x1). | ||
10 | Expose wiring harness for trailer socket and swivel electrics (1) and remove. | ||
11 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

12 | Perform function check of fully-electric trailer hitch. | ||
13 | Check function of lighting signals on trailer socket (X58, X58x1). |
