Remove screws/bolts (4) and guide 13-pin trailer socket (X58) at side out of bracket on trailer hitch crossmember (1)

Allow 13-pin trailer socket (X58) to hang down at electrical wiring harness.

Disconnect electrical connector (6) at 7-pin trailer socket (X58/11)

Unscrew nuts (5) and remove reinforcements (3)

Take out screws/bolts (2) and remove trailer hitch crossmember (1)

Helper required.

Unscrew screws/bolts (7) and remove 7­pin trailer socket (X58/11)

When replacing trailer hitch crossmember (1).

Install

Position 7­pin trailer socket (X58/11) on bracket of trailer hitch crossmember (1) and tighten screws/bolts (7)

When replacing trailer hitch crossmember (1).

Position trailer hitch crossmember (1) and fix in place using screws/bolts (2)

Helper required.

Position reinforcements (3) and screw on nuts (5) until they make contact

Replace nuts (5).

Align trailer hitch crossmember (1)

Counterhold nuts (5) and tighten screws/bolts (2)

Screw/bolt, trailer hitch crossmember to longitudinal member

Position 13­pin trailer socket (X58) on bracket of trailer hitch crossmember (1) and tighten screws/bolts (4)
