Remove/install

Remove bottom trim for the instrument panel on the driver's side.

Depress clutch pedal (1) and fix in place in end position.

Remove over-center spring (2).

To do so, press in over-center spring (2) by hand and remove.

Installation: Insert over-center spring (2), as shown, into guide.
Observe installation position of bearing bushings (3).

Install in the reverse order.

Check

Check that the clutch pedal (1) is functioning correctly.

If it is functioning incorrectly.

Determine cause and rectify.
