Remove/install

1

Remove shift cable (1) from dual-clutch transmission.

Remove lower cover for center instrument panel.

Remove shift cable (1) from selector lever with bearing bracket.

Release insulation mats (2, 3) from shift cable (1).


Detach the insulation mats (2, 3) carefully.
Otherwise the insulation mats (2, 3) may be damaged.

Remove the hose (4).

 Installation: Ensure correct seating.

Remove nuts (6).

Remove shift cable (1) with retaining plate (5) in direction of passenger compartment.

 Installation: Ensure correct seating.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

9

Check shift cable (1) for ease of movement and gearshift system for proper operation.

If the gearshift system is functioning incorrectly or the shift cable (1) is sluggish,



rectify cause using suitable repair measures.

 Metric screws/bolts and nuts as per DIN 912
