 	Remove/install
1.1	Remove air duct connecting piece.	 Only model 638.0/1 without code H00 (hot air duct to passenger compartment)	AR83.10-S-4500-01A
1.2	Remove air duct (8) for rear passenger compartment.	 Do not remove air duct completely (8). Refer to:
		Model 638.0/1 with Code H00 (hot air duct to passenger compartment) and left-hand drive.	AR83.10-S-4500A
		Model 638.2 and left-hand drive.	AR83.10-S-4500B
		Model 638.0/1 with Code H00 (hot air duct to passenger compartment) and right-hand drive.	AR83.10-S-4500C
		Model 638.2 and right-hand drive	AR83.10-S-4500D
2	Remove ashtray		AR82.00-S-9999A
3	Detach cable (3) at transmission.		AR27.60-S-0100-01A
4	Detach cable (3) at relay lever (2).	 Set selector lever (1) to position "1".
5	Remove retainer (4).	Installation: inspect retainer (4), replace if necessary.
6	Press grommet (5) out of mounting bore.	Installation: ensure that grommet (5) is seated properly at firewall.
7	Remove cable (3) together with grommet (5) forwards through firewall towards engine compartment.
8	Install in the reverse order
	Testing
9	Check adjustment of cable (3), and adjust cable (3) if necessary.	Model 638 up to VIN 400544	AR27.60-S-1470A
