Remove/install

Unclip retainer (1) from shift rod

Only clip-type retainers with a radius may be used, as otherwise they may be pressed out whereupon the shift rods would drop down from the shift intermediate levers

Unhook shift rod

Installation: Adjust shift rod if necessary

Remove center console

Remove insulation mat

Detach lamp unit (2) for light strip of shift gate illumination

Detach electrical plug

Release and remove mounting console of center shifter console

Remove bolts (arrows)

Remove center shifter console

Disassemble/assemble center shifter console if necessary

Installation: Check seal for correct installation position and condition, replace if necessary

Install in the reverse order

Check that shift mechanism functions correctly
