Remove/install

Remove upper engine cover.

Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter.

Clean area around oil lines (1, 2) on oil cooler (4).

Remove oil lines (1, 2) from oil cooler and seal with suitable stop plugs.

Remove lower center and rear engine compartment linings.

 Installation: Do not install lower center and rear engine compartment linings until after leak test.

Clean area around oil lines (1, 2) on automatic transmission (3).

Remove oil lines (1, 2) from oil pan.

 Bolt, clamp of oil cooler oil line to bracket

 Screw, oil cooler oil line clamp to oil pan

Remove oil lines (1, 2) from automatic transmission (3) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

Remove oil lines  (1, 2) toward rear.

Check seals in oil cooler (4) and in threaded fittings in automatic transmission (3) for leakage.

If the seals are leaky,



replace threaded fitting in automatic transmission (3) or oil cooler.

Install in the reverse order.

Check and correct oil level in automatic transmission (3).

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Conduct engine test run and check automatic transmission (3) for proper operation and leak tightness.
