Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove lower engine compartment lining.

If installed.

 Installation: Attach bottom engine compartment lining only after leak test.

Unscrew bolt (1) by several turns.

Remove feed line (2) from automatic transmission.

 To do so, remove screw (3) and detach feed line (2).

 Collect escaping automatic transmission fluid. Seal connections.

 Installation: Replace seal.

 Record plug

Remove feed line (2).

 To do so, disconnect feed line (2) at connecting point (4).

 Collect escaping automatic transmission fluid. Seal connections.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check oil level in automatic transmission.

If the oil level is not correct.



Correct oil level.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check for leak tightness when engine is running.
