Remove

Remove automatic transmission.

Remove torque converter.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1) from automatic transmission.


Use a suitable rag as a base.
Otherwise damage may occur.

 Dispose of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Clean

Clean contact surfaces of radial shaft sealing ring (1) on automatic transmission.

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install

Coat outer contact surfaces and sealing lips of new radial shaft sealing ring (1) with transmission oil.



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.82)

Slide pilot bushing (3) over drive shaft (2).

 Drift

Install new radial shaft sealing ring (1) in automatic transmission.

 For this, slide radial shaft sealing ring (1) over pilot bushing (3) until the radial shaft sealing ring (1) makes contact with the contact surface.
Install radial shaft sealing ring (1) using  drift (4).

Remove pilot bushing (3).

Insert torque converter.
