Remove/install

Open hood.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1).



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.82)

BB00.40-P-0236-82A


Do not damage seat of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in transmission.
Otherwise leaks will occur.


Do not damage shaft of parking lock mechanism.
Otherwise damage and malfunctions occur at the transmission.

 Removal: Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1) from transmission using a suitable tool. Dispose of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

 Installation: Oil new radial shaft sealing ring (1) on outer circumference and at sealing lip.
Install new radial shaft sealing ring (1) using  drift.

Install in the reverse order.



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
