Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Raise vehicle.

Remove lower engine compartment lining.

Remove high-voltage lines (6) from holder (7) (arrows).

 Installation: Check retaining clips for damage.

If damage is found,



Replace damaged retaining clips.

Remove cover panel (3).

 To do this, remove screws (2).

If access to upper screws (2) is difficult,



lower vehicle, remove affected screws (2) and raise vehicle again.

Disconnect electrical connector (4).

Remove electrical wiring harness (1).

 Installation:
Check for correct routing of electrical wiring harness (1) in groove of axle drive module.
Otherwise the electrical wiring harness (1) may be damaged.

 To do so, disconnect electrical connection (5).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Perform function test of park pawl using diagnostic system.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
