1 | Connect vehicle diagnosis system and transfer data from control unit (1) to vehicle diagnosis system. | If the control unit (1) is being replaced. | |
| Connect/disconnect diagnostic unit | ||
Installation: Transfer saved data from vehicle diagnosis system to new control unit (1). | |||
2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
3 | Raise vehicle. | ||

4 | Remove lower engine compartment paneling. | If installed. | |
5 | Unscrew bolt (4). | Bolt, holder of control unit to automatic transmission | |
6 | Lower vehicle. | ||
7 | Open hood. | ||
8 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) from control unit (1). | ||
9 | Detach electrical wiring harness (7) from bracket (3). | ||
10 | Remove control unit (1) with bracket (3). | To do this, remove screws (5) and remove bracket (3) with control unit (1). | |
Bolt, holder of control unit to automatic transmission | |||
11 | Detach control unit (1) from bracket (3). | If the control unit (1) is being replaced. | |
To do so, remove the bolts (6). | |||
Bolt, control unit to bracket | |||
12 | Install in the reverse order. |
