Remove

Read out fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4) and save adaptation values.

When replacing the fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4).



 Before removal of the fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4) read out the adaptation values stored there using the vehicle diagnosis system and save them.

Remove electrohydraulic controller unit.

Disassemble/assemble

Remove bolts (1a to 11a) from fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4) on shift valve housing (2).

 Assembly: Observe tightening sequence. Tighten the screws/bolts (1a to 11a) in alphanumeric order.

 Assembly: Replace the screws/bolts (1a to 11a).

 Screw/bolt, control unit to shift valve body cover

Remove bolts (1b to 3b) of auxiliary oil pump (3) on fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4).

 Assembly: Observe tightening sequence. Tighten the screws/bolts (1b to 3b) in alphanumeric order.

 Assembly: Replace the screws/bolts (1b to 3b).

 Screw/bolt, electrical connection for auxiliary oil pump to control unit

Remove fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4).

 Assembly: Make sure that the fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4) is positioned correctly on the shift valve housing (2).

Remove sealing ring (4) from shift valve housing (2).



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.17)

 Assembly:
Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids.
Otherwise the transmission will be damaged.

 Assembly: Replace the sealing ring (4) and moisten with transmission oil.

Assemble in the reverse order.



Install

Install electrohydraulic controller unit.

Transfer stored adaptation values in fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4) and perform SCN coding.

When replacing the fully integrated transmission control unit (VGS) (N15/11n4).


