Disassemble

Disassemble transmission.

Disassemble transmission housing.

Remove shift arm (1).

 To do this, remove cotter pin (2).

Remove shift finger (3).

Remove upper bearing (4).

 Dispose of upper bearing (4).

Remove spacer ring (5).

 Dispose of spacer ring (5).

Remove lower bearing (6).


Position  internal extractor, as shown, between lower edge (arrow) of lower bearing (6) and transmission housing.
Otherwise damage may occur.

 Dispose of lower bearing (6).

Clean

Clean mounting hole in transmission housing.



Assemble

Install new lower bearing (6).

 For this, drive in lower bearing (6) with tool "P" from  tool kit until the upper edge concludes flush with the transmission housing. Then drive in with a suitable installation drift up to end stop.

 Installation drift Ø 20.5 mm

Install new spacer ring (5).

Install new upper bearing (4).

 For this, drive in upper bearing (4) with tool "P" from  tool kit until the upper edge concludes flush with the transmission housing.

Install shift finger (3).



Gear oils (Sheet 235.10)

 Lightly oil shift finger (3).

Install shift arm (1).

 For this, install cotter pin (2).

Assemble transmission housing.
