Remove/install

Fasten transmission on assembly stand

Remove shift rail (4)

Remove screw/bolt (5)

 Bolt, shifting cable deflection to transmission housing

Remove relay lever (7) with both plain bearings (6)

Mark installation positions of both gearshift levers (2)

Unscrew nuts (3)

 Nuts, gearshift lever to transmission

Remove both gearshift levers (2)

 Installation: Observe the installation positions of the gearshift levers (2); refer to the markings applied previously.

Remove caps (1)



Check

9

Check shift rail (4) for damage

If the shift rail (4) is damaged:



Replace the shift rail (4), relay lever (7), plain bearings (6), friction rings (8, 9) and gearshift lever (2) connected to the shift rail (4).

If no friction rings (8, 9) are present:



Retrofit the friction rings (8, 9).
