1 | Remove transmission housing (3) | ||
2 | Position transmission housing (3) on workshop press (4) | ||
3 | Position suitable press-out tool onto output shaft bearing (1) onto propeller shaft bearing (2) | ||
4 | Spread retaining ring (5) using suitable pliers while simultaneously pressing output shaft bearing (1) or propeller shaft bearing (2) downwards | Helper required. | |
5 | Remove retaining ring (5) | ||
| Install | ||
6 | Install new retaining ring (5) | ||
7 | Position new output shaft bearing (1) or new propeller shaft bearing (2) onto retaining ring (5) in transmission housing (3) | The groove (6) of the output shaft bearing (1) or the propeller shaft bearing (2) must face upwards. | |
8 | Press in output shaft bearing (1) or drive shaft bearing (2) evenly | Retaining ring (5) must latch audibly into groove (6) of output shaft bearing (1) or propeller shaft bearing (2). | |
9 | Install transmission housing (3) |
