Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove/install

Remove central clutch release bearing.

Pry radial shaft sealing ring (1) out of transmission housing front section (2) using a suitable tool.


Carefully pierce radial shaft sealing ring (1) and pry it out.
The interference fits in the transmission housing will otherwise be damaged.

Installation: Replace radial shaft sealing ring (1) and moisten sealing lip with transmission oil.
Drive radial shaft sealing ring (1) all the way into transmission housing front section (2) using drift (3).

Clean sitting surface of radial shaft sealing ring (1) using a rag and check for damage.

If damage is found,

Replace transmission housing front section (2).

Install in the reverse order.
