Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove/install

Open maintenance flap

Unscrew cap of brake fluid reservoir (4) and suction off brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir (4)

Release and detach hydraulic line (1) from clutch master cylinder (2)


Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag.
Otherwise the vehicle paint may be damaged.

Release and detach hydraulic line (5) from clutch master cylinder (2)

Model 453.### 2# with transmission 700.12


Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag.
Otherwise the vehicle paint may be damaged.

Seal hydraulic line (1) using stop plug

 Record plug

Seal hydraulic line (5) using stop plug

Remove hydraulic line (5) from hydraulic line (1)

Model 453.### 2# with transmission 700.12


Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag.
Otherwise the vehicle paint may be damaged.

Seal hydraulic line (5) and hydraulic line (1) with stop plugs

Model 453.### 2# with transmission 700.12

 Record plug

Unclip and remove hydraulic line (5)

Model 453.### 2# with transmission 700.12

Unclip hydraulic line (1) from firewall

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Remove underfloor panels

Release and detach hydraulic line (1) from transmission (3)


Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag.
Otherwise the vehicle paint may be damaged.

Seal hydraulic line (1) using stop plug

 Record plug

Unclip and remove hydraulic line (1) on front axle, along underfloor and transmission

Install in the reverse order
