1 Clutch pedal
S40/3 Clutch pedal switch
| Removing | ||
| The clutch pedal switch (S40/3) must never come into contact with grease or antifriction agent as otherwise it may malfunction | ||
1 | Adjust the driver seat into the rearmost position | ||
2 | Remove cover below left of instrument panel | On vehicles with code (LHD) Left-hand drive vehicle | |
3 | Detach electrical connector of clutch pedal switch (S40/3) | ||
4 | Depress clutch pedal (1) | ||
5 | Rotate clutch pedal switch (S40/3) through 90° to the left and remove upwards | ||
| Install | ||
6 | Pull out clutch pedal switch (S40/3) button | Pull out clutch pedal switch (S40/3) button as otherwise the clutch pedal switch (S40/3) may be damaged. | |
7 | Press and hold clutch pedal (1) | ||
8 | Insert clutch pedal switch (S40/3) on clutch pedal's bearing bracket (1) and rotate through 90° to the right | ||
9 | Slowly release clutch pedal (1) | ||
10 | Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and check signal from clutch pedal switch (S40/3) | ||
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | ||
11 | Install cover below instrument panel on left side | On vehicles with code (LHD) Left-hand drive vehicle |
