Remove

1

Remove voltage of high-voltage on-board electrical system.

Remove engine compartment cover.

Remove fan unit.

Remove bypass circuit coolant pump.

Lift front axle major assembly carrier (1) with engine hoist (5) until round sling (6) is tensioned.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Round sling (6)
With a minimum load capacity of 500 kg.

Remove screw (3) and place bracket (2) to one side with high voltage lines attached.


Make sure that the high voltage lines are not kinked.
Otherwise they may be damaged.

Remove screw (7).

Remove screws (8).

Lift front axle major assembly carrier (1) until bearing (4) can be removed.


Carefully lift front axle major assembly carrier (1).
Otherwise adjacent assembly parts may be damaged.

Remove bearing (4).



Install

Position new bearing (4).

Screw in screws (8).

Lower front axle major assembly carrier (1) completely.

Remove round sling (6) from front axle major assembly carrier (1).

Screw in screw/bolt (7).

 Screw, front axle major assembly carrier to front bearing

Position bracket (2) and screw in screw (3).

Install bypass circuit coolant pump.

Install fan unit.

Put the high-voltage on-board electrical system into operation.
