Remove/install

Remove front bumper.

Remove air duct segment (3).

Release and disconnect electrical connector from the front left bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and front right bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3).

Remove impact absorber (4).

Remove screws (6, 10, 12).

Remove upper radiator shutters (2) until electrical connector (8) is accessible.


Do not kink or stretch the electric line.
Otherwise the electric line will be damaged.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (8).

Remove electric line from upper radiator shutters(2) and place to one side.


Do not kink or stretch the electric line.
Otherwise the electric line will be damaged.

Remove upper radiator shutters (2).

Remove screws (11) and remove short and long range radar sensor with bracket from the top radiator shutters (2).

When installing new top radiator shutters (2).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check upper radiator shutters (2) for proper operation using diagnostic device.



Read out and delete fault memory.



Calibrate

14

Perform calibration of the short and long range radar sensor using the diagnostic system.

When installing new top radiator shutters (2).


