Remove/install

Remove the alternator

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.

Remove oil spray nozzle shut off valve (Y131) and collect escaping engine oil using a rag.

 Hydraulic valve at oil filter housing

Check sealing ring of the shutoff valve of the oil spray nozzles (Y131) for damage.

If damage is present



Install new oil spray nozzle shutoff valve (Y131).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check engine oil level, correct if necessary.



Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leaktightness and leaktightness.

Install upper engine cover.
