Remove/install engine oil temperature sensor

1	Engine oil temperature sensor

 Caution	Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing engine oil	Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.	AS18.00-Z-0001-01A

	Remove
1	Remove center section of lower engine compartment lining.		AR61.20-S-1105P
2	Drain engine oil and collect with suitable container.
	Engine oil and oil filter change		AP18.00-S-0101PS
3	Separate electrical connector at engine oil temperature sensor (1).
4	Remove engine oil temperature sensor (1) from oil pan bottom section.
	Install
5	Tighten engine oil temperature sensor (1).
	Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths		AH00.00-P-0015-01CW
		 Replace sealing ring on engine oil temperature sensor (1).
		 Engine oil temperature sensor to oil pan bottom section	*BA15.60-N-1001-02PS
6	Connect electrical connector at engine oil temperature sensor (1).
7	Fill in engine oil.
	Engine oil and oil filter change		AP18.00-S-0101PS
	Check
 Warning	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8	Perform engine test run and check engine for leaks in area of engine oil temperature sensor (1).
9	Switch off engine.
10	Check and correct engine oil level.

11	Install center section of lower engine compartment linings.		AR61.20-S-1105P
