Remove cover (1)

 To do this unclip cap (1) from arrests.

 Installation: Check arrests for damage; replace cap (1) if necessary.

Remove screw/bolts (2)

 Bolt, regulator to alternator

Remove control (3)

 Installation:
Always replace the control (3). The brushes on the new controller (3) are held back the cap (5). After tightening down the screw/bolts (2) the cap (5) must be pressed into the end position so that the carbon brushes lie on the slip ring (4).
Malfunctions may occur otherwise.

 Check condition of slip ring (4). If damaged or severe wear is present, replace alternator.
