Remove/install

 Danger !

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well-ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Disconnect battery ground line

Remove poly-V belt from alternator (G2)

Unscrew nuts (1)

 Nut, circuit B+ to alternator

Disconnect electrical connector (2)

Remove screw/bolt (3)

 Bolt connecting alternator to carrier

Take out alternator (G2) to the front


Take out alternator (G2) to the front.
Otherwise damage may occur.

 For vehicles with code H06(A/C) or with code HH9(Semi-automatic A/C controlled, TEMPMATIC) the alternator (G2) is passed by the refrigerant line (4).

 Installation: Push back pilot bushing for alternator (G2) before installation.
