Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Disconnect ground line of on-board electrical system battery

Raise vehicle

Remove lower engine compartment paneling

If installed.

Remove poly-V-belt from belt pulley of alternator (7)

Disconnect electrical plug connection (2)

Remove cover (3)

Remove electric line (5) from alternator (7)

 To do this, unscrew nut (4).

 Nut, electrical line to alternator

Unclip coolant expansion reservoir (1) from bracket (8) and move out of working area

Remove bolts (6)

 Bolt, alternator to major assembly carrier

Remove alternator (7) upwards

Install in the reverse order
