Unscrew screws/bolts of rear engine mount

 Screw/bolt, rear engine mount to engine mount carrier

Unscrew screws/bolts (8) of left and right engine mount

 Screw/bolt, front engine mount and bracket to frame

Unscrew nut (9) and unfasten left and right single pipe engine vibration damper

 Nut, single-tube engine vibration damper to frame/engine support

Unscrew upper nut from right engine mount

 Nut, front engine mount to engine support

Hook load regulator into lifting eyes on the engine



Lift engine


Do not overstretch or crush lines when raising and lowering the engine. The engine and its detachable parts must not contact the body or the major assemblies.
Otherwise damage will occur.

Push right engine mount to the front

Unscrew nuts (2)

 Bolt/nut, heat shield to crankcase

Unscrew screws/bolts (3) and remove heat shield (1)

 Turn the heat shield (1) to remove it.

 Bolt, starter to crankcase/transmission

Unscrew screws/bolts (5) and remove bracket (4)

 Bolt, starter to crankcase/transmission

Remove strut to ATL

 Bolt, support for turbocharger to turbocharger

Remove contact protection (6) and detach circuit 30 electric line (7)

 Nut, connection for terminal designation 30

Remove circuit 50 electric line (10)

 Nut, connection for terminal designation 50

Remove starter (M1) from below

Check ring gear at the drive plate for wear and damage

 Rotate engine at center Bolt, crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation.

If worn or damaged



Replace drive plate.
