Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Disconnect electrical connection (1)

Remove screw/bolt (2)

Screw/bolt, crankshaft position sensor to transmission housing

Pull crankshaft position sensor (L5) out of the transmission housing (3)

Install in the reverse order

Connect diagnostic unit, read out fault memory

When replacing the crankshaft position sensor (L5).
