| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove engine cover. | ||
2 | Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2). | ||
3 | Disconnect vacuum hose (3) from vacuum cell. | ||
4 | Seal openings with suitable stop plug. | Record plug | |
5 | Unclip vacuum line (6) from line bracket (arrow A). | ||
6 | Remove screw (4) and remove bracket (5) with switchover valve (1) until vacuum hose (7) is accessible. | ||
7 | Remove vacuum hose (7) from switchover valve (1). | ||
8 | Seal openings with suitable stop plug. | Record plug | |
9 | Remove bracket (5) with switchover valve (1) and vacuum hose (3). | ||
10 | Remove vacuum hose (3) from switchover valve (1). | When replacing the switchover valve (1). | |
11 | Detach the switchover valve (1) from the bracket (5) by hand. | When replacing the switchover valve (1). | |
12 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
13 | Read out and clear fault memory with diagnostic device. | When replacing the switchover valve (1). | |

Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
