Remove/install

Remove exhaust gas turbocharger.

Remove pressure line (1) of exhaust pressure sensor.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Open-end wrench bit

 Exhaust pressure sensor pressure line to exhaust manifold

Unscrew nuts (2).

 Nut, exhaust manifold to cylinder head

Remove exhaust manifold (3).

 Installation: Install new seal (4).

Remove exhaust gas temperature sensor upstream of exhaust gas turbocharger (B17/7).

When replacing exhaust manifold (3).

 Commercially available devices/tools
Open-end wrench bit

 Installation: Coat thread of exhaust gas temperature sensor upstream of exhaust gas turbocharger (B17/7) with heat-resistant lubricating paste.

Check

Check that stud bolts are firmly seated.

If stud bolts are loose



Tighten stud bolts.

 Stud bolt to cylinder head
