Remove covering over engine

Disconnect electrical connection for oxygen sensor downstream of CAT (G3/1x1) or electrical connection for oxygen sensor upstream of CAT (G3/2x1) and remove from bracket

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Lift vehicle on vehicle lift

For removal of the oxygen sensor upstream of CAT (G3/2).

Unhook rear muffler (4) from left rubber mount and swivel to the side

For removal of the oxygen sensor upstream of CAT (G3/2).


Carefully swivel the rear muffler (4).
Otherwise, the flexible pipe (4.1) could be damaged.

Unhook electrical wiring harness (1) or electrical wiring harness (2) from heat shield (3)

Remove oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/1) or oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2)

 Installation: Smear thread of oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/1) or oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) with paste.
