Remove

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Remove fan

Swivel tensioner pulley for clamping device (8) downwards (arrow A) and hold or block with suitable pin

Take off poly-V belt (1) from belt pulley and remove

Swivel tensioner pulley for clamping device (2) downwards (arrow B) and hold or block with suitable pin

Unfasten guide pulley (7) and pull to the front

Remove holder (6) for fan

 Mark installation position of screw/bolts (4, 5) in relation to bracket (6).

Take off poly-V belt (3) from belt pulley and remove



Check

Check all belt pulleys, deflection and tensioner pulleys for damage and smooth operation; replace if necessary

Remove/install belt pulley/vibration damper

Remove/install alternator

Remove/install poly-V belt single tensioning device for basic belt drive

Remove/install poly-V-belt single tensioning device for fan drive

AR13.25-W-4010S

Inspect condition of poly-V belt (3); replace if necessary



Install

Put poly-V belt (3) on the belt pulleys

 Observe poly-V belt routing diagram.

Position poly-V belt (3) on tensioner pulley of tensioning device (2) and pivot back tensioning device (2)

 Ensure that poly-V belt (3) is seated correctly.

Install holder (6) for fan

 Pay attention to different screw/bolt lengths (4, 5).

 Screw/bolt, bearing bracket to bottom half of crankcase/crankcase

Tighten down guide pulley (7)

 Screw/bolt, guide pulley to carrier

Put poly-V belt (1) on the belt pulleys

Position poly-V belt (1) on tensioner pulley of tensioning device (8) and swivel back tensioning device (8)

 Ensure that poly-V belt (1) is seated correctly.
