Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Raise vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
2 | Loosen nut (arrow A) at top on left boost pressure positioner (Y100) | ||
3 | Unscrew nut (1) from left boost pressure positioner (Y100) | ||
4 | Disconnect electrical connector (arrow B) from left boost pressure positioner (Y100) | ||
5 | Detach vacuum hose (2) from LH boost pressure regulator (Y100) | Installation: Do not use any slide or lubricant when assembling the vacuum hose (2). Function impairments of the LH boost pressure regulator (Y100) can occur otherwise. | |
6 | Lower vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
7 | Remove interior flap above engine | ||
8 | Pull off vacuum hose (3) on check valve (4) | Installation: Do not use any slide or lubricant when assembling the vacuum hose (3). Function impairments of the check valve (4) can occur otherwise. | |
9 | Lay LH boost pressure regulator (Y100) on the cylinder head cover | ||
10 | Detach vacuum hoses (3, 5) on LH boost pressure regulator (Y100) and remove LH boost pressure regulator (Y100) | Installation: Do not use any slide or lubricant when assembling the vacuum hoses (3, 5). Function impairments of the LH boost pressure regulator (Y100) can occur otherwise. | |
11 | Install in the reverse order | ||
12 | Read out fault memory, erase if necessary |
