Remove bottom engine compartment paneling.

If installed.

 Installation: Do not reinstall the lower engine compartment paneling until after you have performed a leak test.

Remove the charge air hose (2) from the charge air line (1).

 Seal the charge air hose (2).

Lower vehicle.

Remove the washer fluid reservoir (3) and place it away from the working area.

 Do not remove the lamp unit. Do not remove any connected lines.

Remove the electrical wiring harness (4).

 Installation: Check retaining clips

Depending on the findings,



Replace damaged retaining clips.

Remove screw (5).

Remove bracket (6).

Remove bolts_(7).

Loosen the bolt (8) a few turns.

 The charge air line (1) must be removed.

Remove the charge air line (1) from the noise damper (9) and remove upward.

 Seal the noise damper (9).

 Installation: Replace the sealing ring and wet with antifriction paste.

Install in the reverse order



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
