1 | Raise vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
2 | Remove screws (2) from exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) | ||
3 | Lower vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
4 | Remove interior flap above engine | ||
5 | Detach electrical wiring harness (4) in area of exhaust gas recirculation positioner (5) from mixing chamber (1) | ||
6 | Pull off vacuum hose (6) on exhaust gas recirculation positioner (5) | ||
7 | Loosen screw clamps (7) and remove charge air hose (8) | ||
8 | Loosen screw clamp (9) | ||
9 | Remove bolts (10), remove mixing chamber (1) and detach from charge air hose (11) | ||
| Install | ||
10 | Clean sealing surfaces on mixing chamber (1) as well on exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) and insert new seal between mixing chamber (1) and exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) | ||
11 | Position mixing chamber (1) on charge air hose (11) and screw the screws (10) on the transmission all the way in | ||
12 | Raise vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
13 | Screw the screws (2) into the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) | | |
14 | Lower vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
15 | Tighten bolts (10) | | |
16 | Tighten screw clamp (9) | ||
17 | Place vacuum hose (6) on exhaust gas recirculation positioner (5) | ||
18 | Route electrical wiring harness (4) in area of exhaust gas recirculation positioner (5) and fasten in place using new cable ties on mixing chamber (1) | ||
19 | Install interior flap above engine | ||

20 | Test run engine and check exhaust recycle system for leaks in the area of the mixing chamber (1) |
