| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove upper engine cover. | ||
2 | Unclip air intake line (5) at air intake scoop (arrows A). | ||
3 | Pull out air intake line (5) from air filter housing (6) and remove in upward direction (arrow B). | ||
4 | Open screw clamps (3). | ||
5 | Pull air filter housing (6) in front area upwards out of elastomer bearing (9). | Installation: Wet elastomer bearing (9) with lubricant. | |
Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 l | |||
6 | Remove air filter housing (6) towards front out of mounts for elastomer bearings (10). | Air filter housing (6) remains in vehicle. | |
Installation: Wet elastomer bearings (10) with lubricant. | |||

7 | Remove engine air intake duct(4). | Clip remover | |
8 | Seal exposed openings with protective covers. | Set of protective covers | |

9 | Check engine air intake duct (4) for damage. | If damage is identified, | |

Replace engine air intake duct (4). | |||
10 | Check elastomer bearings (9, 10) for damage. | If damage is identified: | |

Replace elastomer bearing (9) and elastomer bearings (10). | |||
11 | Check that elastomer bearings (9, 10) are correctly seated. | If necessary: | |

Correct seat of elastomer bearing (9) or elastomer bearings (10). | |||
12 | Check seal in air filter housing (6) for damage. | If damage is identified: | |

Replace seal in air filter housing (6). | |||
13 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
14 | Perform engine test run and check intake air system for leaks. |
