1 | Remove screws (2). | ||
2 | Lift air filter housing upper section (3). | ||
3 | Remove air filter (1) from air filter housing lower section (4). | ||

4 | Check air filter (1) for contamination. | If there is a problem: | |

Replace air filter (1). | |||
5 | Check air filter housing lower section (4) for contamination. | If there is a problem: | |

Clean air filter housing lower section (4). | |||
| Install | ||
6 | Insert air filter (1) in air filter housing lower section (4). | Check for correct seating. | |
7 | Attach air filter housing upper section (3) at rear in air filter housing lower section (4) and move into position. | ||
8 | Tighten screws (2). | ||

Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
9 | Perform engine test run and check air filter housing for leaks. | ||
10 | Confirm replacement of air filter (1) in maintenance booklet or in Digital Service Booklet (DSB). | If air filter (1) was replaced. |
