Impact extractor
The injectors of cylinder 1 and 2 can be released with the extraction claw (1) in combination with the impact extractor (2) or in combination with the base plate (4). The injectors of cylinder 3 and 4 can exclusively be removed with the extraction claw (1) in combination with the base plate (4).

Removal of injectors of cylinder 1 and 2 with impact extractor
1 | Attach extraction claw (1) as shown on the respective injector to be removed. |
2 | Attach impact extractor (2) as shown on extraction claw (1). |
3 | Unfasten respective injector to be removed. |
4 | Remove impact extractor (2) and extraction claw (1). |
5 | Remove a loosened injector. |
6 | Repeat procedure for the other injector. |
Removal of injectors of cylinder 1 and 4 with base plate
7 | Attach extraction claw (1) as shown on the respective injector to be removed. |
8 | Install pedestals (3) on base plate (4). |
Certain pedestals (3) are specified for each cylinder; install pedestals (3) accordingly. |

9 | Install base plate (4) on screw/bolts of cylinder head cover. |
Note the installation position. The arrow on the base plate (4) should point toward exhaust side. |
10 | Mount pulley (5) and screw/bolt (6) as shown. |
11 | Loosen a jammed injector. |
Ensure that the electrical connection of the respective injector does not impact on the base plate (4) upon loosening. |
Screw in screw/bolt (6) to do this. |
12 | Remove base plate (4) and extraction claw (1). |
13 | Remove a loosened injector. |
14 | Repeat procedure for remaining injectors. |
