Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Remove upper engine cover.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (5).

Loosen clamp (2).

 Installation: Replace clamp (2).

 Air intake line to exhaust gas turbocharger

Open clips (3).

Remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5).

 Installation:
Check the seal is seated correctly; position it correctly if necessary.
Otherwise leaks can occur in the charge air system.

 Installation: Replace seal between hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) and air filter housing.

Install in the reverse order.

Connect diagnostic device, read out fault memory, and delete if necessary.

After replacing the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5).


