Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Remove upper engine cover.

 Installation: Do not install the upper engine cover until an engine test run has been performed.

Remove upper part of right air filter housing (4).



Raise right hot film mass air flow sensor (5) and separate electrical connector (3).

Operation steps 4 and 5 are shown.

Unscrew screw (2) and remove position sensor (1).

 Screw/bolt, camshaft position sensor to cylinder head cover

Seal opening with suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Replace sealing ring on position sensor (1).

If position sensor (1) is reused.

Install in the reverse order

Read out and delete fault memory.

If position sensor (1) is replaced.



Perform engine test run and check position sensor (1) for leaks.
