Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Raise vehicle with vehicle lift | ||
2 | Remove cable tie (1) | Installation: Lay wiring harness for the temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (DPF) in a strap and fix in place using a cable tie (1). | |
3 | Disconnect electrical connector of exhaust temperature sensor upstream of exhaust gas turbocharger (B19/11x1) | ||
4 | Unscrew union nut (3) on exhaust temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11) | | |
5 | Remove exhaust temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11) out of the turbocharger (2) | ||
6 | Install in the reverse order | ||
7 | Read out fault memory, erase if necessary | ||
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory |
