1 | Remove air intake pipe. | ||
2 | Expose electrical wiring harness (1). | To do so, cut through the cable ties. | |
Installation: Replace cable tie. | |||
3 | Disconnect electrical connection (2). | ||
4 | Remove lambda sensor (3). | ||
Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths | |||
Installation: Coat thread of lambda sensor (3) with heat-resistant lubricating paste. | |||

5 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
6 | Read out the fault memory using the diagnostic unit. | If lambda sensor (3) was replaced. | |

Do not remove diagnostic device yet. | |||

Erase the fault memory. | |||
7 | Perform parameterization of lambda sensor (3) using diagnostic device in fuel injection system control unit. | If lambda sensor (3) was replaced. | |
8 | Disconnect diagnostic unit. | If lambda sensor (3) was replaced. | |
