Notes about Common-Rail components | |||
1 | Move front seats forward and fold seat backrests forwards | ||
2 | Remove interior flap above engine | ||
Fold floor covering forward onto seat backrests of front seats. | |||
Installation: Only install interior flap over engine after leak test. | |||
3 | Get into vehicle and unscrew screws (2) | Bolt, quantity control valve to high-pressure pump | |
4 | Remove quantity control valve (Y94) from high-pressure pump (1) and disconnect electrical connector (3) | Installation: Replace sealing ring at quantity control valve (Y94). | |
5 | Install in the reverse order | ||
6 | Read out fault memory; clear if necessary | When replacing quantity control valve (Y94). | |

7 | Perform engine test run and check fuel system in area of quantity control valve (Y94) for leaks |
