Connect new timing chain (2) and old timing chain (1) with  assembly link (01) and attach locking clip of the  assembly link (01) opposite to the direction of insertion.

Turn crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation (arrow) with counterholder, insert new timing chain (2), and guide out old timing chain (1) at the same time.


Helper required.

Engine 654.9 in model 907.1/2/6
Turn crankshaft in direction of engine rotation (arrow) with installed retaining lock, install new timing chain (2) and guide out old timing chain (1) at same time.


Helper required.

Remove assembly link (01) and disconnect new timing chain (2) from the old timing chain (1).
