1 Cover the whole cylinder head with a clean cloth
2 On one of the links (2) of the timing chain (1), reduce the heads of the two pins (arrow).

3 With the aid of a screwdriver, push the outer plate outwards (3), withdraw the middle plate (4) and the link.
Pay attention and secure the ends of the chain so that they do not fall into the chamber box for the timing chain.
4 Check the wheels of the camshaft for cracks, formation of craters, etc. and replace them if appropriate.
