Remove

1

Remove camshafts together with camshaft positioners.

Disconnect timing chain (1) and secure against falling down.

 Do not allow timing chain (1) to fall into timing case recess.

 Rivet press tool

Check

Check tensioning rail (2) for wear and damage.





Replace tensioning rail (2).

Check bottom slide rail (3) for wear and damage.





Replace lower slide rail (3).

Check sprocket of crankshaft for wear and damage.





Remove timing case cover and replace sprocket of crankshaft.

Remove/install timing case cover

Check top slide rail (4) for wear and damage.

If problems exist,



Replace upper slide rail (4).

Replace camshaft positioner.
