Remove the camshaft (1)

Clean the tappet (2) with a clean cloth

 The tappet must be free from oil

With the manual vacuum pump (3) and a vent remove the tappet (2).


 Do not use magnets!
Due to the magnetisation of the tappet minute particles of iron can accumulate, damaging the tappets and cams.
 Installation: Install the tappet again in the same position.

Checking

Check the basic bore hole

Check the basic bore hole for marks and damage, if fitting 

Replace the cylinder head
